This morning was a busy morning in our house. We had to get the trailer packed, well, just the last-minute things. Then we had to get everyone packed for an overnight stay at Phil and Rose’s house, two soccer games, a dog to get to the kennel, and the usual straightening up before leaving the house.
I went to Trey’s game and Bruce tackled Tyler’s game. This is the second week in a row that they’ve had games within a half an hour of each other. . . at two different locations. I chose Trey’s because I think the parents are nicer. They are snooty and have formed little cliques already at Tyler’s age – so Bruce took him.
Trey loves soccer. This is his first season playing, ever, and quite frankly he’s a natural. Today he scored seven times! It was amazing and he was super excited. Another kid on his team was chest bumping him when they scored. I wish I would have gotten that on camera. The coach put a stop to it though. I heard him telling the boys, “how would you like it if the other team did that to you?” After that they were a little more successful at containing themselves when we scored.
All in all it was a great game and I must admit, I’m starting to figure out what goes on in this darn game (ok, not really).
